The Home and School Information Slip (similar to that below)
is what I use to keep in contact with every parent on a weekly
basis. It goes home each Monday attached to each student's corrected
schoolwork from the previous week. It is to be returned signed
by the parent the next day. I have received lots of positive
feedback on this relatively simple form of communication from
nearly all of my students' parents. Of course I do many other
things to keep in touch with parents, but this insures that every
parent is communicated with every week in addition to letting
them see much of what their child is doing in school.
