Parents can provide important feedback to their children's teachers if they are given a forum to do so. I send out a questionnaire to my students' parents each quarter of the school year to gain their perspective on their children's participation in my program. What I have found is that I hear more frequently from those who are quite happy with what is going on at school. I have also been able to use the information I have gained to show the high level of parental support for my program to my administrators and to our district's school board (this has been very helpful in dealing with curriculum and other program issues).
