Your Tasks In order to fulfill your United Nations mission, your team will gather information about an author from another country. To do this you will: Visit the Internet sites about children's authors. Interview your authors, if possible, by email, chat, or snail mail. Find other teachers on your campus who can provide you with information about foreign authors. Visit the school or public library to get the book you have chosen by that author. Read the book. Write a biography of your author. Be sure to include a list of all books written by the author. Create an artistic depiction of a selection. Create a PowerPoint, HyperStudio, or other multimedia presentation to share with your class. Keep a daily reflection journal to describe your feelings, impressions, questions, and comments as you research authors.
